KIOXIA Singapore Pte Ltd, a worldwide leader in memory solutions, today announced a 4 Terabyte (TB)(1) model of the EXCERIA G3 SSD Series with the quadruple-level cell (QLC) memory devices based on its eighth-generation BiCS FLASH™ 3D flash memory technology, increasing the capacity options in the company’s PCIe® 5.0 lineup. The addition of a model with a maximum capacity of 4 TB to the EXCERIA G3 SSD series, which balances performance and cost, provides further options for those seeking entry-level SSDs for AI applications and gaming PC environments.

The EXCERIA G3 SSD Series features speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s(2) for sequential reads and 9,600 MB/s for sequential writes. This series will now be available in 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB capacity options. Built with the 2 Tb quadruple-level cell (QLC) memory devices, the EXCERIA G3 SSD 4 TB model expands its storage capacity range, enabling high-speed data transfer, improved power efficiency, and higher density.

The EXCERIA G3 SSD 4 TB model will be available in June 2026(3).

  1. Definition of capacity: KIOXIA defines a megabyte (MB) as 1,000,000 bytes, a gigabyte (GB) as 1,000,000,000 bytes and a terabyte (TB) as 1,000,000,000,000 bytes. A computer operating system, however, reports storage capacity using powers of 2 for the definition of 1 GB = 2^30 bytes = 1,073,741,824 bytes and therefore shows less storage capacity. Available storage capacity (including examples of various media files) will vary based on file size, formatting, settings, software and operating system, and/or pre-installed software applications, or media content. Actual formatted capacity may vary.
  2. Read and write speed may vary depending on various factors such as host devices, software (drivers, OS etc.), and read/write conditions.
  3. The release schedule may vary by country and region.
